BRISTOL CITY COUNCIL City Council meets for work sessions on the third Tuesday of the month and for regular meetings on the first Tuesday of the month. All regular meetings start at 7 p.m. and take place in Council Chambers at Slater Center, 325 McDowell St. Back row: Councilwoman Michelle Reuning (At Large) Councilwoman Margaret Feierabend (South District) Councilwoman Lea Powers (West District) Seated: Mayor Chad Keen (East District) Vice Mayor Jack Young (At Large) A work plan is developed each year to serve as a formalized statement of the direction for the city during the year as well as an instrument to evaluate progress and achievement. The Goals and Objectives Program is a formal part of the annual budget and is adopted during the budget process each year. This aids staff in moving the community forward in a planned and unified manner. The key Goals and Objectives for this fiscal year are: • Protect Health and Safety/Maintain Basic Service Levels • Enhance and Sustain the Economic Climate of the Community • Improve Existing Housing/Protect Neighborhood Quality • Enhance City Attractiveness/Control the Cost of Government COUNCIL GOALS Between the city departments (Administration, Community Development, Community Relations, Economic Development, Public Works, Finance, Fire, Legal, Parks & Recreation, and Police) there are over 180 goals and objectives.
